The Maldives offers various types of visas to cater to different purposes of travel. Firstly, the Visa on Arrival is available for most nationalities, allowing tourists to enter the country for up to 30 days without prior application.
For those traveling for business purposes, The Business Visa for the Maldives is typically valid for a duration of up to 90 days for each visit. It is a multiple-entry visa, which means you can enter and exit the country multiple times within the visa's validity period.
Work Visas are issued to individuals intending to work in the Maldives, subject to specific conditions and sponsorship from a local employer.
Lastly, the Marriage Visa is available for foreigners marrying Maldivian citizens, allowing them to reside in the Maldives for the duration of the marriage. It is recommended to consult the Maldives Immigration website or embassy for detailed requirements and procedures for each visa type.

Citizens of all nationalities can obtain a visa on arrival in Maldives for a stay of up to 30 days, which can be extended in Maldives. Applicants must show evidence of return transportation and either confirmed hotel accommodations and proof of sufficient funds in the amount of $100.00 + $50.00 per day, have Yellow Fever Vaccination Certificate (if applicable).
All travellers will need a PCR negative report, which has been taken no more than 96 hours prior to departure.

Visa application form. Fully completed and signed application form. The signature on the application form has to match the signature on the passport.
Original passport. The passport must be valid at least 6 months after the intended date of departure from the territory of the destination country and has at least 2 blank visa pages.
Passport copy. A clear scan of the information page of your valid, signed passport.
Passport-type photograph. Include a passport style photo (35mm x 45mm), with a white background, taken within the last 6 months. You may also choose to upload a photo to your order for us to print. There is a charge associated with this service.
Health insurance. Proof of international health insurance and specifically covering travel to the destination country is required. Applicants can get a free quote and purchase valid travel insurance from our affiliate.
Letter of Incorporation. Copy of the sending company's Certificate of Incorporation.
Business invitation. A business invitation letter from the sponsoring company in the destination country. The letter should be printed on company letterhead stationery, addressed to "The Consulate of Maldives, Visa Section", and signed by a senior manager. The business letter must adhere to the following guidelines:
Briefly introduce the applicant (please specify employment status/position held in the company by applicant).
State the nature of the business to be conducted (i.e. business meetings, contract negotiations, etc.) and the names and addresses of companies to be contacted in the destination country.
Specify the Type and desired Validity of the visa (i.e. a one year multiple entry business visa).Business registration. A copy of the host organization's Certificate of Incorporation or business registration in the country of destination.
Health Declaration Form. Complete Health Declaration E-Form before entering to the country.
Passport-type photograph. One original color photo taken in recent 3 months with white background.
COVID-19 Test Result. Provide proof of a Negative PCR Test done 96 hours prior to your departure.
